Year Four, 2008

There will be a primary Working Group meeting and field seminar at either Oxford University, England or the Institute of Karst Geology Guilin, China, or both. The interactions between human activities, karst ecosystems and water resources will be investigated in the field. A tentative summary of the Project up to that point will be made.

At a minimum there will be two additional Working Group meetings, with one at the annual Geological Society of America meeting on 28-31 October in Denver, Colorado, and tentatively in Serbia and Montenegro. Most communication will continue to take place electronically, and a goal will be to define the scope, and organize production, of the final report. The project will continue to encourage, and assist with, the publication of Project results in peer-reviewed journals.
