Year Five, 2009

The major goal of the year will be to prepare the final report, which will summarize the results of progress on all the four objectives of the project. Major Project contributions and advances will be synthesized at a final workshop and field excursion associated with the 15th International Congress of Speleology in summer 2009, the location of which as not yet been determined.

During the year we will evaluate progress of the Project to determine, if Project members so decide, to develop a successor karst-related IGCP Project. The project will continue to encourage, and assist with, the publication of Project results in peer-reviewed journals.
